Today Marks A Sad Day In Tranmere Rovers FC's History As Legend/Manager Micky Mellon Departs The Club To Join Recently Promoted Scottish Premiership Side Dundee United.


Mellon Joined Tranmere On The 6th October 2016 After Departing League One Shrewsbury Town. Mellon's 1st Game In Charge Was A 2-0 Win V Local Rivals Wrexham FC Since Then He Has Has Taken Us To 3 Trips To Wembley Our 2-1 Win V Boreham Wood. Or Our 1-0 Win V Newport County With Connor Jennings Scoring In The Last Minute Of Extra Time Mellon Has As Well Brought Us A Few Great Cup Runs Like When We Beat Watford 2-1 In The 3rd Round Of The FA Cup. Mellon's Last Game Managing Tranmere Was a 2-1 Win V Blackpool.


Micky Brought Some Amazing Players To The Club Like James Norwood Who Went Onto Score 82 Goals To Then Leave To Join League One Ipswich Town.
